SSD with Sata III slow speed issue

Hello all,

I have an issue with Sata III, I get only 105MB/s write and 207.8 MB/s read
- SATA 6G PCI Express card
- Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB.  
- EL Capitan.
- Dell Precision 690




Any help will be appreciated

Did you compare with the SATA III in the motherboard port ?

Sata ports onboard are Sata II. I have 260MB/s. Samsung SSD should have 500MB/s, that why I would like to upgrade SATA III card

I just test a Kingston SSD to the SATA 3 Motherboars but this port
Linked negotiated speed: 3 Gigabits

Dell Precision has SATA II onboard. I have the approximate speed when connect to onboard SATA. I think Dell Precision does not work good with Sata III 6Gbps card. Mac OSX detect Sata III 6Gbps but the real is Sata I with 1.5Gbps (150MB/s).

Aslo, I tried to install Windows 10 on it. I had SATA I speed on SATA III card.

Yes I remember my Dell Précision is SATA 2

Yes I know but the sata card gives you more port SATA Thats the gold of the card

This sata card is made long time a go for a Old System like Snow Leopard or Lion, the Perf is mutch more better

I understand that Sata III with 6Gbps much faster than Onboard Sata. But the speed from that card slower than onboard. Do you have any solution?
